Myra A. Henderson/Pallas Wisdom (Rhyme ) PDF Print E-mail

Rhyme is the daughter of the superheroine Grace and her lover the detective Reason, as well as the fraternal half-triplet of the Wisdom Twins, which always made her the odd one out growing up, even if her sisters did nothing to overtly exclude her. Where exactly Rhyme started going wrong is a matter of debate, though considering just how twisted she is, it's likely not any one thing but a lengthy succession of them. The death of her parents (and the increasingly hostile view the public took to their unconventional family) pushed Rhyme to the brink... her subsequent exposure to the undiluted Waters of Youth drove her right over it, as well as making her damn close to immortal.

Rhyme has inherited her father's intellect filtered through her Amazonian upbringing which favored intuition. The result is a criminal mind unlike any other. She's blended half-forgotten secrets of Atlantean alchemy with modern molecular chemistry to create dangerous concoctions that defy explanation from both magic and science. When denied other research materials, she uses her own body as a laboratory... in the process growing more physically powerful and ever more deranged. Her blood and other vital fluids now act as a contact agent that inflicts berserk rage on those who touch it, culminating in a fatal overdose of adrenaline if it's introduced into the bloodstream.

As the saying goes, Rhyme may be crazy but she's not stupid. Though her motives may make no sense to anybody except herself, she's capable of toning down her clownish antics in order to acheive an immediate goal. It's during her more aimless periods that she's at her most deadly, because Rhyme bores very easily... and a bored Rhyme is a dangerous thing.
